WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT, EAST TO WEST, BULLET WILL ATTEMPT TO BEAT THE CURRENT KITE-BOAT ATLANTIC SPEED RECORD OF 21 DAYS SET BY FRANCISCO LUFINHA IN 2021.

The accomplishment of rowing an ocean should never be underestimated and will continue to remain at the core of O.R.C.A.
As I hope is evident in the orca trimarans, possibilities and design developments are never far from the forefront of my mind.
In 2008 I attached a kite to orca the 27 ft trimaran and flew it 100 miles between Barbados and St Vincent….it worked..ish and in the interim period to date, progress in development has been incredible.
Did you know, a kite produces ten times more power than a conventional sail of the same area.
It would not be incorrect to suggest conventional sails, may give way to the vastly more efficient power kite.
However the kite and crew need a stable platform…..thats NOT a monohull, just so happens were pretty good at the old trimaran.
(note in the videos on this page all boats are trimarans…told you so !)

2012 marked the inception of BULLET, after continued thought, perfected 13 years later as the fastest design of ocean rowing boat, also capable of being flown. What happens if one can sail and row oceans, design and build, I suppose its inevitable at some point, all the disciplines will combine in creating something very special and contrary to ocean rowing, when kite power and speed is also attractive
…time to get moving!
Two statements made on this website, continue to excite
“we require rowers and pilots” and “when the rowing deck becomes the flight deck“.
